Description
- Be responsible for reviewing and understanding all aspects of construction documents for Commercial, Academic, Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare markets & more
- Act as a liaison between client and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and budgets are provided
- Perform takeoffs and develop conceptual budgets utilizing past data
- Develop, communicate, and understand the company's pricing strategy
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential/ current clients and subcontractors
- Utilize Construction scheduling software to detail milestones in the pre-construction schedule
- Obtain the best pricing for materials and bids from subcontracts
- Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontracts, etc
- Maintain the Estimating Coordinator to publish RFPs to subcontractor
- Serve as a mentor to Estimating Coordinator(s)
Profile
- BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related preferred
- 10-15+ years of commercial estimating experience with a General Contractor
- Experience estimating commercial construction in one of the following markets (or related): Academic, Healthcare, Life Science, Hospitality, Retail, etc
- Able to be successful in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under tight time lines to hit project deadlines
- Experience with Excel, Planswift, Procore, On Screen, and/or Bluebeam
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
