Company: Colvin Run Networks About the Role Colvin Run Networks is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer (10+ years) to
design, implement, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure for a critical Defense Intelligence
Agency (DIA) contract and internal modernization initiatives. In this role, you will define and
manage cloud architecture, enhance security and scalability, and drive innovation using
cutting-edge technologies. This position is ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in
high-stakes environments and enjoys tackling complex technical challenges. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure to support mission-critical enterprise applications. Define and analyze system requirements, including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage, and networking protocols. Ensure cloud environments operate at optimal levels and support application development teams with cloud integration. Develop and document infrastructure design, configurations, and processes to maintain system health and performance monitoring. Implement cloud security measures to protect sensitive data and networks, ensuring compliance with government and industry security standards. Lead cloud modernization efforts, including migration, automation, and DevSecOps strategies. Evaluate new cloud technologies and make recommendations to enhance performance, scalability, and security. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, working on advanced, complex cloud engineering projects. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure design, and enterprise IT systems. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related technologies (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, etc.). Strong background in cloud security, IAM, and compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, DoD security standards). , Experience with networking, storage, and virtualization technologies in cloud and hybrid environments. Proven ability to design, document, and implement complex cloud architectures with scalability and security in mind. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation, and containerization. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, CISSP, or similar. Why Join Colvin Run?
