This individual offers the unique chance to leverage your expertise across multiple cloud platforms-primarily Google Cloud Platform (GCP), complemented by AWS and Azure-to significantly influence our extensive cloud strategy. You'll be a principal driver in shaping best practices, guiding diverse project teams, and creating innovative, automated, robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions across a variety of projects and products.
What you'll do - GCP Architecture - Architect, optimize, and troubleshoot complex deployments using your significant expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, Compute Engine, GCVE, Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, IAM, VPC, and Cloud Build.
- Multi-Cloud Architecture - Guide implementation of Data Engineering solutions on AWS and Corporate IT functionality on Azure. Ensure seamless interoperability, cost optimization, security, and efficient data ingress/egress across multiple cloud environments.
- Cloud Migration and Optimization - Lead on-premises to cloud migrations for in-house applications and appliances. Support development teams and product owners in selecting optimal migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor) aligned with business and technical requirements. Balance immediate wins with long-term cloud-native objectives.
- Cloud Security, Identity, and Networking - Ensure secure, compliant, and well-architected environments across GCP and AWS. Apply deep understanding of VPC design, IAM policies, workload identity, API security, and Zero Trust (DevSecOps) models, balancing security with developer velocity and operational efficiency.
- Infrastructure as Code & Cloud Automation - Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code principles with Ansible, Terraform, and integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines (GitOps). Implement traceability, observability, logging, and monitoring without unnecessary complexity.
- Enterprise Governance - Set, enforce, and document cloud architecture standards while maintaining team agility. Work across Security, PMO, Networking, and Enterprise IT to ensure governance, compliance, and best practices effectively support organizational goals. Create and maintain clear diagrams and documentation.
- Cloud Solutions & Innovation - Architect foundational cloud solutions supporting a scalable and secure cloud ecosystem. Conduct proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new technologies, determining when experimentation should transition to operationalization.
- Cloud Infrastructure Automation - Implement cloud infrastructure programmatically using Terraform, Ansible, Argo CD, Jenkins (JCasC), Atlantis, and maintain familiarity with HashiCorp products such as Vault and Packer.
- Well-Architected Framework & Standards - Apply deep knowledge of GCP and AWS Well-Architected Frameworks and maintain adherence to industry-standard cloud migration best practices.
What you'll bring - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent professional experience. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional) are beneficial but not required.
- 8+ years total related experience, including significant cloud architecture responsibilities.
- GCP: Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, Compute Engine, GCVE, Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, IAM, VPC, and Cloud Build.
- AWS and Azure: Proven knowledge of AWS and Azure solutions, toolsets, best practices, particularly for Data Engineering (AWS) and Corporate IT operations (Azure).
- Cloud Migration: Demonstrated experience successfully migrating applications from on-premises to the cloud, leveraging strategies like rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.
- Security & Networking: Comprehensive understanding of IAM, API security, VPC architecture, and Zero Trust models (DevSecOps).
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Argo CD, Jenkins (JCasC), Atlantis, and familiarity with HashiCorp products (Vault, Packer).
- Automation and CI/CD: Skilled in integrating infrastructure provisioning automation into CI/CD workflows (GitOps).
- Enterprise Architecture: Strong ability to set, enforce, and document cloud governance standards. Capable of effectively communicating and collaborating across diverse organizational functions.
- Well-Architected Framework: Deep understanding of GCP/AWS Well-Architected Frameworks and industry-standard migration best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This salary range is specific to Colorado, New York, California, and Washington.
The starting salary for this position is $106,800-$122,700 and may increase to $177,900 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
