Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Client Endpoint Engineer to join our Client Engineering team. This role is crucial for supporting key operational tasks and allowing the team to focus on strategic, project-driven initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Endpoint Management and Operational Support, handling complex technical issues and improving system operations.
Requirements - Ticket and Request Management: Efficiently manage and triage incoming tickets and requests, prioritizing tasks for timely resolution.
- Software Deployment: Create and deploy software packages to client endpoints, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
- Security Patch Management: Schedule and deploy security patches; oversee monthly maintenance routines across endpoints and servers.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate detailed reports using Symantec console, maintain documentation on procedures, incident reports, and system configurations.
- 3rd Level Support: Provide expert-level support, resolving complex technical issues and escalating as necessary.
- System Health Monitoring: Conduct regular system diagnostics, monitor event logs, and perform maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Script Development: Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell and Visual Basic to automate system tasks and enhance functionality.
- Cross-Departmental Communication: Collaborate with various departments throughout the Health System to resolve issues and ensure operational efficiency.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manage support tickets, and escalate issues to ensure resolutions meet operational deadlines.
Required Technical Experience and Qualifications: - Symantec Endpoint Experience: Minimum of 3 years managing endpoints with Symantec Endpoint (Altiris) in an enterprise setting.
- Endpoint Management Expertise: Over 5 years of experience in endpoint management within a large enterprise environment.
- Scripting Skills: At least 2 years of experience in creating and maintaining PowerShell and Visual Basic scripts.
- Project Management: Proven experience in leading and coordinating technical projects across functional teams.
- Healthcare Experience: Prior work within a healthcare organization and understanding of HIPAA regulations are highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities with experience collaborating with all organizational levels.
