We are a leading Entertainment firm looking for a new Sr. Category Manager.


Work Schedule: Onsite Mon-Thurs, Remote Fri Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Start Date: August 4, 2025

End Date: February 3, 2026 (with Potential extensions)

Pay Rate: $62-$67/hour (Non-Exempt)

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract


Position Overview

The Category Strategy Manager supports the broader team in developing and executing

category and client strategies to drive ad sales revenue within specific advertising verticals.

This role is pivotal in connecting our advertising's offerings with long-term company

goals and evolving client needs.


Key Responsibilities

Analyze consumer media trends, industry measurement solutions, and competitive

media spending

Mine syndicated data sources (MRI, Nielsen, YouGov, Ad Intel, SMI, EDO) to uncover

client and category insights

Craft sales narratives and positioning materials with strong storytelling and strategic

alignment

Identify and communicate trends with media revenue implications

Act as a liaison across Research, Sales, Client Solutions, and Data & Measurement teams

Develop measurement strategies aligned with client KPIs

Oversee campaign performance recaps with select vendors


Recommend first- and third-party audience segments for targeting

Educate Sales and support teams with curated category knowledge

Support ad policy compliance and escalation processes

Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture


Basic Qualifications

5+ years (7+ preferred) of experience in advertising, media, or marketing

Background in media planning, buying, strategy, and measurement

Experience with tools: Nielsen Media Impact, NPower, Comscore, social listening

platforms

Working knowledge of brand lift, sales lift, and attribution vendors

Self-starter capable of working independently and across cross-functional teams

Strong multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Passion for the advertising/media landscape


Education

Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred: Additional education or training in media/advertising strategy
