Sr. Backend/Cloud Engineer
100% remote within the US

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to support the integration of a transaction assurance system with an internal event messaging platform. This role will involve developing a scalable and secure communication mechanism between systems, ensuring comprehensive event tracking across various transaction models and scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a versionable mechanism to publish data to an internal event messaging system, adaptable for future integrations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify necessary vs. currently available data fields for event reporting, including potential schema updates
- Develop event generation for key transaction lifecycle milestones, including:
- Pending transaction creation
- Asset transfer to a holding account
- Seller payout
- Transaction cancellation
- Deploy the solution in AWS, ensuring it is fully secured and accessible only to designated internal systems
Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years of development experience
- Strong experience with RESTful API development
- Proficiency in Golang for backend service implementation
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- General knowledge of AWS services including ECS, Fargate, CloudFormation, SQS, and Lambda
