The Data Management Enablement team within the Enterprise Data and Analytics group is seeking a highly skilled Sr Associate, Data management to join the team and serve as a data management subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will assist in product development of our data management tool (Collibra). You will help identify business improvement opportunities and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. You will play a key role in assisting the product owner in defining the product roadmap, driving enhancements and solutions, defining user stories, and provide support while ensuring a high-quality user experience. Additionally, you will collect and analyze user feedback to refine the product roadmap and provide support to data producers and consumers on our marketplace.

Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
    • Translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Support & Training
    • Provide comprehensive data management support to all Data management Practitioners on a day-to-day basis.
    • Communicate roles, responsibilities, and provide training to support end-users on the Collibra platform.
  • Enhancements and Stories:
    • Identify opportunities for product enhancements.
    • Write detailed user stories in ADO and acceptance criteria for development.
  • Product Development and User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
    • Plan and coordinate UAT activities to ensure that the product meets user requirements and expectations.
    • Facilitate UAT sessions with business stakeholders and users.
  • User Experience and Feedback
    • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
    • Focus on optimizing the user experience at every touchpoint.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from users.
    • Reflect user feedback in the product roadmap to ensure continuous improvement.
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Collibra or similar data governance tools.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders and IT.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business and technology.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • High level experience with Collibra, including its data model and functionality.
Preferred or nice to have specific skills:
  • Experience as a Data Management practitioner with Collibra is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data management and data governance concepts
  • Proficient in using ADO (Azure Dev Ops) for managing projects and tracking progress.
  • Understanding of user interface design and user experience principles.
  • Ability to work closely with designers to create user-centric solutions.

Salary Range:
$83,100 - 141,300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
