Department Overview The Cybersecurity Endpoint Protection team is responsible for securing McDonaldu2019s network endpoints globally against cybersecurity threats. This includes desktops, laptops, servers, virtual machines, cloud instances, mobile devices, IoT, POS devices and more. We are seeking driven and ambitious cybersecurity professionals to join our team and enhance our security culture. Our goal is to balance security, usability, and productivity without compromising the quality and effectiveness of our endpoint protection solutions. We need tenacious individuals who can bring clarity to ambiguous situations by synthesizing information from various sources and developing actionable plans that yield quantifiable results. This Senior Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced technologist to make a significant impact on McDonald's unique security posture on a global scale Responsibilities & Accountabilities + Lead the continuous improvement and operation of existing endpoint protection services and develop future services to meet the evolving demands of securing our brand. + Ensure that endpoint protection services maintain a balance of strong defense, high availability for business operations, and usability. + Collaborate with peers on the Endpoint Protection team and throughout GCS, Global Technology, Markets, and Vendors to identify and manage cybersecurity risks. + Review, develop and update technical documentation to support the service consumption model, including multi-functional work across the McDonaldu2019s organization. + Ensure endpoint protection and related security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines are followed and updated as needed. + Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate policies, SOPs, training, and guidelines for leading services. + Supervise the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to provide timely recommendations for improvement. + Analyze sophisticated issues, detail their impact on the business, resolve their root causes, and identify corrective actions to prevent similar future events. QualificationsBasic Qualifications + 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on building and/or operating endpoint protection, threat detection, and response technologies. + Bacheloru2019s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field. + Hands-on experience with industry-leading cybersecurity tools, particularly for endpoint protection and security operations. + Experience implementing or demonstrating cybersecurity frameworks and models such as NIST, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, and Cyber Kill Chain. + Competent in developing effective solutions to diverse and sophisticated business problems. + Ability to work independently and multi-functionally with strong leadership skills to drive organizational change to effectively meet strategic and tactical goals. + Superb interpersonal skills, able to correspond with collaborators promptly and with attention to detail, vitality, and thoroughness to all levels of the organization. + Self-starter who learns quickly on the job with minimal training. + Understands and represents the perspectives and opportunities of various collaborators in enterprise cybersecurity services. + Forward thinking with solid business acumen. + Exhibits excellent time management and interpersonal skills. + Exhibits a high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and confidence, representing the organization and its management team at the highest level of professionalism. + Experience handling third-party vendors and service providers. + Experience and ability to participate in a 24x7x365 team. Preferred Qualifications + Experience designing, implementing, and operating endpoint protection products, services, and controls in a global, enterprise setting across diverse platforms. + Experience securing or working with IoT devices, Cloud Infrastructures (AWS, Google, Azure, OCI, etc.) and containerized workloads. + Experience with blue, purple, or red teaming exercises. + Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell for automating tasks and analyze data. + Skilled in extending REST and GraphQL APIs for security platforms. + Experience integrating with IT Service Management systems such as ServiceNow. + Ability to use data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI to interpret and present actionable insights. + Familiarity with the ITIL operating model. + Enjoys developing solutions with a shift-left mentality. + Runs work using Agile principles. + Professional certifications such as ITIL, CISM, CISSP or similar.
