Job Title : Sr Advanced Analog Electrical Engineer Location: West Valley City, UT Wage Range: 60-70 Job Number: 25-02804 Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Sr Advanced Analog Electrical Engineer to work from their West Valley City, UT facility. As a Sr Advanced Analog Electrical Engineer, you'll be a member of or lead a cross functional team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics and underwater acoustic systems. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze and design analog circuits including signal conditioning, power, transformers, inductors, amplifiers Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer Generate design and interface documentation Qualifications: Working knowledge of op-amps and transistors, including Bipolar, JFETs and MOSFETs Familiarity with low noise preamplifiers Working knowledge of transformers and inductors, and how to size them including key parameters such as flux density magnetizing current, leakage inductance, transformer and inductors losses and temperature rise. Familiarity with active filter design and PLL design Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation and test phases Experience with analog circuit design including signal integrity principles Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including: creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc. Strong documentation and communication skills Experience with the following a plus: battery systems, electric motors, and MATLAB programming, solder rework of prototype circuit card assemblies, underwater acoustic principles Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
