Sr Accountant with Security Clearance

Falconwood is a woman-owned / veteran-owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects, focusing on acquisition, cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, and process development. We are looking for Senior Accountant to support our corporate office. 1 Assist in preparation of journal entries, month-end closing and account reconciliations. 2 Establish new projects or update existing projects with funding levels and contract requirements in the Unanet accounting system 3 Review accounts payable transactions; associating costs with the appropriate project and account 4 Billing - FP, T&M, CP 5 Assist in preparation of financial statements and month-end analysis 6 Preparation and review of incurred cost submissions 7 Policies and procedures documentation 8 Preparation of workpapers for auditors 9 Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned 10 Respond to data calls with accurate contract and/or financial data 11 Update/generate financial reports 1 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license is a plus 2 5+ years of recent experience working for a government contractor 3 Experience with Unanet software is required 4 Experience with Concur software is a plus 5 Experience in multiple areas of Accounting (AP, AR, Payroll, etc.) 6 Knowledge of Indirect Rates and Incurred Cost Submissions 7 Knowledge of FAR and CAS 8 Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel 9 Strong problem-solving and organization skills with strong attention to detail 10 Effective oral and written communication skills 11 Collaborative personality and open to suggestions from team members 12 Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies 13 Strong time management and able to meet deadlines
