Position: Sr. Accountant
Duration: 3 Months Tempoary Project
Pay Rate: $50-$65/hr (DOE)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional to lead core accounting functions, including managing the full-cycle monthly close process and optimizing the use of our ERP system (NetSuite). This individual will play a critical role in driving accounting accuracy and efficiency while supporting key initiatives such as revenue recognition, audit readiness, and process improvements. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in dynamic environments, and brings a mix of public accounting and in-house operational experience. This role reports directly to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting, including oversight of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare and analyze GAAP and non-GAAP financial statements and reporting packages
Lead and optimize ERP (NetSuite) functionality for accounting operations - NetSuite experience is required
Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with applicable standards
Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and financial variance analyses
Research and document technical accounting issues, including new standards such as ASC 606 and ASC 842
Coordinate and prepare supporting documentation for annual financial audits - audit experience is required
Assist with tax-related reporting, including gathering data for corporate tax returns and provisions
Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls and future SOX compliance initiatives
Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous process improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in public accounting
Strong working knowledge of NetSuite (required)
In-depth understanding of revenue recognition (required)
Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting processes (required)
Background in audit support and familiarity with external audit processes (required)
Experience in manufacturing or inventory accounting is a plus
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
