About the Role
As our first Account Executive, you will play a critical role in driving Ayara's go-to-market success. We're looking for someone who has grown from BDR to AE, understands the sales motion in enterprise SaaS, and is now ready to take the next step in their career. This role offers the opportunity to own deals end-to-end and evolve into a sales leadership role as the company scales.
You'll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities while collaborating closely with product, marketing, and leadership to shape our sales playbook.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full sales cycle-from prospecting to close-across mid-market and enterprise accounts.
- Drive outbound engagement and convert inbound leads into qualified opportunities.
- Understand customer needs and pain points in Revenue Life Cycle and Revenue Recognition, and position Ayara's differentiated value.
- Deliver compelling product demos and value-based presentations to CFOs, controllers, RevOps, and finance teams.
- Collaborate with the founding team to shape our GTM strategy, messaging, and pipeline-building efforts.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast visibility using CRM tools.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, providing insights to product and marketing teams.
- Hit or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of SaaS sales experience in, including at least 3-5 years as an AE closing new business.
- Prior experience as a BDR/SDR with a successful transition into an AE role.
- Proven ability to sell complex SaaS solutions focused on Finance/FIntech into finance or operations functions.
- Familiarity with Quote-to-Cash (QTC), ERP, CPQ, or Revenue Recognition tools is a strong plus.
- Comfortable engaging with senior finance leaders (CFOs, controllers, RevOps).
- Strong storytelling, discovery, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
- Based in the Bay Area or open to travel for customer and team meetings.
