Your Job Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a highly organized and ambitious Sr. Account Executive in Illinois to join their Commercial Sales team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for expanding the territory sales strategy and managing the complete sales process from pipeline development to execution, with a heavy focus on acquiring and closing new business. You can expect to promote innovative hardware and software solutions through strategic selling, engage with prospective clients in person as needed, and collaborate with reseller and service partners to support and expand sales opportunities in the pipeline.

This is an outstanding career opportunity for a highly motivated, results-driven salesperson to leverage prior experience selling tech solutions (SaaS or hardware/software combination) to key prospects such as real estate developers, property managers, landlords, and commercial real estate executives. The ideal candidate will understand how to effectively sell to these prospects (must have prior experience) and be willing and able to learn the business quickly.


You Will:

  • Bring a strong hunter mentality to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Form a strong technical understanding of the platform and the EV charging industry through training and development milestones
  • Identify and pursue new EV charging infrastructure business opportunities by developing outreach strategies to effectively target prospects and convert leads into deals
  • Promote and pursue IaaS ('Infrastructure-as-a-Service') opportunities, and understand how to properly position and successfully sell the no capital required and/or all-inclusive business model
  • Help develop the overarching territory sales strategy in Illinois by leveraging your own connections/relationships as well as channel partnerships; utilize field reseller partners and/or service partners to develop sales opportunities and enhance reach within Illinois
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from pipeline development to execution, ensuring delivery against key performance metrics, with a heavy emphasis on outbound efforts and the acquisition of new business
  • Engage with prospects (multifamily properties, commercial real estate, etc.), positioning hardware and software solutions through strategic, value-based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, references, and data-backed market stats
  • Accurately forecast monthly revenue for territory and accounts, maintaining contact information, business history, and opportunity details in Salesforce
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in Product, Deployment Operations, and Customer Success to ensure the best experience for prospective customers
  • 35% Travel expected

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience selling enterprise software or hardware solutions to key prospects such as real estate developers, property managers, landlords, commercial real estate executives, etc. (REQUIRED)
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets within an industry where success came from hunting
  • Clear evidence of building strong relationships internally and with customers across all levels of the organization
  • A start-up mentality: proactive, highly organized, and enthusiastic about selling innovative offerings
  • An enthusiastic, tenacious approach to selling
  • Experience with Salesforce, GSuite, and Slack
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet potential clients, attend industry events, and drive sales (must have a valid, legal driver's license)

  • Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 plus commission
