Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and maintain our SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SQL Server DB maintenance, Always On Availability Groups, and Transaction Log Replication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Maintenance: Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backups, restores, index optimization, and database integrity checks.
• Always On Availability Groups: Configure and manage Always On Availability Groups to ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical databases.
• Transaction Log Replication: Implement and manage transaction log replication to ensure data consistency and low latency between Publisher and Subscriber databases.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize SQL Server performance, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement best practices for efficient database operations.
• Security: Implement and maintain database security policies, manage user permissions, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Capacity Planning: Plan for future database growth and capacity needs, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Provide 24/7 support for SQL Server environments, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure continuous operation.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server DB maintenance, Always On Availability Groups, and Transaction Log Replication.
• Experience with performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management.
• Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and PowerShell scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
