Summary
We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer with a strong background in healthcare data systems to support and enhance our healthcare databases and reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL development and have a solid understanding of healthcare data standards, regulatory requirements (such as HIPAA), and clinical workflows. This is a hybrid role which will be based out of our Nashville, TN corporate office.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, ETL processes, and reports tailored for healthcare applications and datasets.
• Familiarity with X12 formats (834, 837, 835).
• Ensure database performance, security, and integrity, with a strong focus on protecting patient health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Collaborate with operational and client services teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient data solutions.
• Develop dashboards and reporting solutions to support population health management, quality reporting, and operational analytics.
• Perform routine audits to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
• Assist with data integration projects involving multiple healthcare systems and external data partners.
• Create detailed documentation for data structures, ETL processes, and reporting tools.

Qualifications & Professional License Requirements
• 3+ years of experience as a SQL Developer, with at least 1+ year specifically handling healthcare data.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS (or equivalent database and reporting technologies).
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and handling of sensitive health information.
• Experience in performance tuning of large healthcare databases.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and BI (Business Intelligence) tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with nontechnical clinical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with healthcare analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI in a healthcare setting).
• Experience with Luminx or Trizetto (QicLink)
