In this role, you will design for a large, distributed Splunk environment, focusing on security, performance, and operational roles. You'll play a key role in the visualization development lifecycle from gathering requirements, correlating data, creating user dashboards, integrating and configuring Splunk Apps, and delivering impactful dashboards for administrators, service owners, and decision makers.

Your Responsibilities will include: - Developing, customizing, and configuring Splunk applications and dashboards.
- Creating advanced visualizations utilizing ITSI and glass tables.
- Building and integrating contextual data into actionable visualizations.
- Engaging with end users to accurately gather requirements.
- Collaborating with O&M Service Lanes on data collection and monitoring needs.
- Mentoring users and various groups on effective Splunk utilization.
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with minimal supervision, and proficiently using Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
What Sets You Apart? - Proven expertise in implementing Splunk Dashboards.
- Experience within an enterprise network environment.
- Experience supporting ITSI for enterprise monitoring.
- Familiarity with Splunk apps and add-ons.
- Experience using DBConnect and/or REST API for data collection from external systems/databases.
- Experience integrating with external monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Microsoft SCOM, NMMI, and NetScout.
- Possession of a Splunk Certification in Administration or Development.
Preferred Skills: - Experience implementing integrations with external systems.
- Understanding of Intelligence Community/DoD enterprise systems and networks.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions like ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of automated alerting and reporting mechanisms.
Education Requirements: - A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years, or an Associate's degree with 10 years, or a High School diploma with 12 years of relevant experience is required.
Clearance Requirements: - Due to the nature of the contracts we support, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- An active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is necessary for this position, or TS/SCI with a willingness to obtain and maintain a specific polygraph.
Certification Requirements: - Candidates must meet the DoDM 8140.03 certification requirements for IT System Admin Intermediate level (such as Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher). Specific or higher certifications for systems administrators include FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP.
