Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Splunk Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will assist in the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Splunk environment. You will work closely with senior team members to support log management, data ingestion, and dashboard creation, helping to ensure the security and operational efficiency of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Splunk components (indexers, search heads, forwarders)

- Monitor Splunk system health, data ingestion, and performance metrics; escalate issues as needed

- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Splunk

- Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations to meet business and security requirements

- Onboard new data sources, including parsing and indexing logs from various systems

- Troubleshoot and resolve basic Splunk issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members

- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand monitoring needs and implement solutions

- Assist with routine system audits, data backups, and access reviews

- Provide first-level support to internal users and act as a liaison between end-users and the Splunk team

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5-10 years of experience as an Application Security Developer, Application Security Analyst, or equivalent

Compensation Ranges

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
