About the role:

As an Speech Therapist you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for patients, using evidence-based therapy techniques and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific needs.
Provide direct therapy services to patients in one-on-one or group settings.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and their families about speech, language, and swallowing disorders, as well as treatment plans.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Advocate for the speech and language needs of patients within the healthcare team and community.
Stay current with best practices and developments in speech therapy through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current and valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
