We are currently seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Yakima, WA for the school year. In this full-time role, you'll provide speech and language therapy services to help students enhance their communication skills and achieve success in the classroom.
Location: Yakima, WA
Start Date: August 4, 2025
Schedule: Full-time, 8 hours per day
Grade Levels: PreK-12
Opportunity Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist with this school district, you will have the rewarding opportunity to assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders. You will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and therapists to create individualized therapy plans that help students develop essential communication skills for academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy goals in collaboration with the school team.
- Provide individual and group therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, and language needs.
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate communication strategies into the learning environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, track student progress, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be in the process of obtaining a Washington State SLP license (documentation required).
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Must have or be eligible for a Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate.
