We are currently seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Yakima, WA for the school year. In this Full time role, you'll provide speech and language therapy services to help students enhance their communication skills and achieve success in the classroom.
Location: Yakima, WA
Start Date: August 4, 2025
Schedule: Full-time, 8 hours per day
Grade Levels: PreK-12
Opportunity Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist with this school district, you will have the rewarding opportunity to assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders. You will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and therapists to create individualized therapy plans that help students develop essential communication skills for academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy goals in collaboration with the school team.
- Provide individual and group therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, and language needs.
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate communication strategies into the learning environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation, track student progress, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be in the process of obtaining a Washington State SLP license (documentation required).
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Must have or be eligible for a Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate
