Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with patients, geriatric patients, to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing communication abilities and improving the quality of life for those you serve. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric, senior care population, as well as a passion for patient care.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in patients.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
Provide guidance and support to families regarding communication strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech therapy.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques to evaluate communication disorders.
Understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production.
Familiarity with geriatric population and the unique needs of senior aged patients.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to create engaging therapy sessions tailored to individual patient needs.
