You must live in the Puget Sound Region to be considered for this position.
SCOPE: The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the planning and implementation of therapy goals for children age birth to eight years old in a clinic or community based program setting. This includes participating in a multi-disciplinary team with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Therapists, Public Health Nurses and Special Educators monitoring treatment progress, and participating with team members two times per month at clinical pediatric meetings.

You will be joining a team that is focused on holistic care to meet the critical individual needs of the developing child and support for the family. You will be working with a team of providers offering multidisciplinary care in a community that connects with, encourages, and builds relationships with one another.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide services to children and families, offering parent participation during treatment to encourage parent involvement and training
Monitor treatment progress
Evaluate children for program qualification
Develop on-going individualized goals and progress reports
Participate with team members on a regular basis and provide inter-disciplinary consultations with other therapists as needed
Complete written daily treatment notes within a week to document services rendered
Maintain records on each child as mandated to monitor progress
Provide daily insurance billing information to facilitate timely reimbursement
Include parents in decision making opportunities at progress report/reassessment periods
Monitor and track caseload requirements with on-going new referrals
Supervise student interns
Participate in staff development/training opportunities
Attend biweekly team meetings
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology with valid Washington State Licensure
Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check if not in state for more than the past 3 years
Ability to work as a member of a team
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
At least one year of pediatric experience
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES
Certificate of Clinical Competence and ASHA certification or CFY candidate working toward these certifications
Valid Washington Certified Speech Therapy license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is an active job requiring lifting of up to 50 lbs, frequently squatting, sitting on the floor and active work with children.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: First aid and CPR card required within 90 days of hire
