Working Days: Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

Role Focus: One-to-one therapy for Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), and medical conditions.
Are you passionate about helping children communicate and thrive? We are looking for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) who is eager to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with diverse communication needs. In this role, you will work closely with students experiencing Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues, and medical conditions, providing tailored therapy to help them reach their full potential.
What You Will Do:
- Provide Specialist Support: Deliver individualised therapy plans to assist children with SLCN in developing their speech, language, and communication skills.
- Create Empowering Environments: Develop safe, supportive, and engaging therapy sessions where children feel confident and encouraged to express themselves.
- Collaborate with Families and Staff: Work alongside teachers, teaching assistants, and families to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
- Track Progress and Adjust Plans: Regularly assess progress and adapt therapy plans to meet the evolving needs of each student.
- Empower Independence: Help students build confidence in their communication abilities, fostering greater independence both in school and in life.
What You Bring:
- Relevant Qualification: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
- HCPC Registration: Registered as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or educational setting, ideally with children or young people with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Knowledge of Therapy Approaches: Familiarity with various evidence-based approaches to support language development, including those tailored for students with additional learning needs.
- Enhanced DBS: On the Update Service and the legal right to work in the UK.
- Safeguarding Awareness: A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
