Supportive Oncology is a developing field within cancer care that aims to mitigate the adverse effects of cancer and its treatments across the disease spectrum. The Christie Supportive Care Team is an award-winning service leading in the development of supportive oncology services nationally. We offer an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and supportive specialty doctor to join our team, which includes consultants, clinical fellows, specialty doctors, clinical nurse specialists, clinical pharmacists, an advanced physiotherapy practitioner, and dedicated administrative staff. The post is 1.0 WTE with no on-call commitment.
We provide direct clinical care across inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory settings within Europe's largest single-site cancer hospital. The team works closely together, and this role is integral to the future development of the service. The successful applicant must be passionate about patient care, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to personal and service development. You will have access to regular supervision and a generous continuing professional development fund.

Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for your own caseload of patients, supported closely by the wider Supportive Care team.
- The work is approximately 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient/ambulatory focused.
- You will support the wider MDT, Consultants, and Team Lead.
- You will have regular supervision and access to professional courses, including supportive care training.
- Working with the clinical lead and team, you will contribute to service development, education, and the promotion of supportive oncology.
