Summary:
The RN Specialty Clinic Coordinator is a licensed registered professional nurse who is a clinical expert who provides ethical, evidence-based, safe and nursing care. The RN Specialty Clinic Coordinator focuses on patient safety and the quality of nursing care by identifying and clarifying patient needs, performing clinic related patient care, conducting health care education, promoting patient advocacy, coordinating healthcare services, and evaluating patient outcomes. The RN Specialty Clinic Coordinator assists Clinic Manager with day-to-day operations by developing staffing plan while acting as the first resource to staff and works closely with the interdisciplinary team to help manage each patient's visit.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develops daily staffing matrix through staffing software, filling staffing gaps.
  • Communicates with staff and Clinic Manager staffing needs.
  • Advises Clinic Manager of significant and/or unexpected variances in scheduling.
  • Identifies, and communicates unsatisfactory outcomes, unusual findings, special needs, and requests to Clinic Manager.
  • Coordinates the development, implementation, and review of policies and procedures.
  • Assists with education and orientation of new staff.
  • Participates in patient safety, Joint Commission, and audits for Specialty Clinics. Acts as a resource for compliance reporting and accreditation requirements according to established guidelines and within established time frames.
  • Maintains patient education and supplies needed to support the operation of the clinic.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA) Within 90 Days of Start Date Learning Management System
