Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Data Privacy Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data privacy program under the direction of the Director of Data Privacy and the National Football League.

Primary Job Duties: The Specialist, Data Privacy will have the daily responsibilities including, without limitation, to the following:
  • Assist in data privacy compliance efforts surrounding digital properties, trackers, cookies, tracking pixels, consent management, etc.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data privacy dashboards.
  • Development and maintenance of Python scripts and other compliance processes.
  • Assist in responding to data subject requests, including data access, deletion, correction, and opt-out requests, in accordance with relevant privacy laws.
  • Assist in conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs), transfer impact assessments (TIAs), digital tracker privacy assessments (DTPAs), and other League-mandated reviews for new projects, products, or initiatives involving the processing of personal information.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data privacy dashboards.
  • Assist the Director with the development and implementation of data privacy policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay up to date with applicable federal, state, and relevant international privacy laws, and monitor advancements in information privacy technologies to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.
  • Assist with the conduct of regular assessments and audits of data privacy practices and identify areas of improvement or potential risks.
  • Support the development and delivery of privacy awareness and training programs for employees to promote a culture of privacy by design, data minimization, and compliance.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in data privacy and provide recommendations on best practices and industry standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year University or College or equivalent experience; preference for bachelors or graduate degree in law, IT, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or computer science.
  • Experience: Two years previous relevant work experience in law, data privacy, data analytics, compliance, IT, web/app development, audit, risk management, or related fields preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within minimal oversight and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to seek relevant privacy certifications and training.
  • Willingness to learn relevant programming languages and technologies required, proficiency in Python, SQL, HTML, or other relevant programming languages preferred.
  • Familiarity with data cleaning, wrangling, and analytics techniques and technologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with data anonymization, pseudonymization, encryption, or tokenization techniques and technologies to preserve and improve privacy protections preferred
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and dashboarding techniques and software such as Tableau and Power BI preferred.
  • Familiarity with privacy frameworks and industry standards, such as the Privacy by Design (PbD) approach or the NIST Privacy Framework preferred.
  • Knowledge of data management and information security practices preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
