SummaryUnder general direction, is responsible for managing and analyzing statistical data related to court activities. Coordinates with county departments, and supports judges on special projects; monitors court processes, monitoring jail and court caseloads, assisting with process improvements, and creating data reports to enhance court productivity; and performs related duties as required.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manages statistical information regarding case activity to include trial statistics, case information, and case dispositions
- Conducts analysis of relationships within criminal enterprises
- Identify jail population issues for the courts and coordinate with other county offices/departments to present data and issues to improve outcomes and efficiencies
- Maintain updated forms, business processes, and procedures for the Courts
- Assist judges with special projects as needed
- Monitor County dashboards for jail population and County Court caseloads
- Assist with system-wide problem solving and implementation of new business processes
- Create comprehensive data reports that can be analyzed and organized to provide performance measures for the courts to increase productivity
- Performs other complex duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited college or university with Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field and three (3) years' experience in criminal justice or related field and three (3) years' experience in management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Sound knowledge of principles, practices, and terminology of general and governmental accounting
- Skilled in problem solving, decision making and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and to establish/maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees and the public; ability to operate personal computer, peripherals and basic office equipment
- Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation from the Bexar Criminal District Attorney's Office
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office especially in Microsoft Excel before beginning employment
- May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek
Working Environment and Physical Demands: - Working conditions are primarily indoors
- Occasionally moves items weighing up to 15 pounds
- Occasionally moves about the office
- Frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
