A Special Hazard Service Technician will work with Low- and High-Pressure CO2 Fire Suppression Systems, Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems, Dry Chemical Fire Suppression Systems, and Marine Systems.


Compensation: $30.00-$50.00/hr


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, commission, service, and inspection fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
  • Install conduit, wire, piping, and equipment for assigned fire projects.
  • Execute projects on time and within the allocated installation hours.
  • Read and interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills with internal support, clients, and subcontractors.

Education/Qualification:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience within Special Hazards.
  • Knowledge of alarm and detection systems.
  • Fire Alarm (Siemens, Kidde, Notifier) experience preferred.
  • Early warning smoke detection experience.
  • Pre-action detection & control experience.
  • Experience with Clean Agent gas systems.
  • Knowledge of NFPA Requirements.
  • NICET Level I or II (preferred but not required).
  • Basic Electricity and Electronics knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of blueprints, schematics, and other technical specifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, pull cables, and work in confined and high spaces.
