Special Education Teacher
As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide tailored instruction to K 12 students with diverse learning needs, supporting their IEP goals in inclusive classroom settings. Working across multiple schools, you'll build strong relationships, gain valuable experience, and make a lasting impact on a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including inclusive classrooms, resource rooms, and one-on-one sessions.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to adapt and modify curriculum and instruction to meet students' needs.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, goals, and needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant meetings.
- Stay current with best practices in special education through professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.

Qualifications
- Bachelors of Special Education
- Special Education teaching certification, Arizona
- Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
- US Work Authorization as Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $27 - $35 per hour, paid weekly.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).
