LETC's Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (ages 2.9-5) is seeking an Educational Supervisor. Primary responsibility is to supervise special education preschool classrooms; maintain communication and address issues as they arise involving staff, caregivers, transportation, and CPSE Administrators.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Student Placement, Behavior Management, and Parent Engagement
- Ongoing Interviewing and Training of Staff
- Ongoing Staff Supervision, Observations, Feedback, and Performance Evaluations
- Instructs teachers on how to write and implement progress goals, daily lesson plans, Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), and educational updates, quarterly reports.
- Participation in Program planning and Leadership meetings
- Participation in Interdisciplinary team meetings
- Chairs staff meetings, multidisciplinary review meetings, and attends IEP parent meetings.
- Curriculum development, planning, student and classroom performance assessments (Teaching Strategies GOLD, CLASS Tool).

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- SBL certification (initial or professional) or in a program to obtain.
- Master's degree in education is required.
- NYS Professional Teaching certification (students with disabilities, birth to grade 2 preferred).
- Experience with special needs students required, preschool preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to motivate and collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to interact with all staff involved in program operations.
- Development and implementation of program goals.
