POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides technical, data and analytical support for the Health Services Management-Clinical Services utilization, case management, service coordination and preventive health/disease management functions. Troubleshoots medical management system-related issues. Serves as subject-matter expert to both internal and external customers. Is proficient in analyzing clinical services business needs, determining necessary configuration, and developing test scenarios to ensure accurate and complete testing. Assists in the development of clinical metrics, data collection tools and presentations of resultant data in support of plan-wide services. In-depth understanding of the interdependencies of all major IT systems as well as the ramifications of changes to interrelated subsystems.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
An associate degree is required, a Bachelor's degree preferred (Health Information Management degree preferred) with three (3) years minimum experience in medical management systems administration (education may be substituted for experience). Amisys, Acuity and/or Harmony experience is highly preferred and may be substituted for an Associates degree. Managed care and project management experience is highly preferred.
