As a Customer Service Specialist at Sherwin-Williams, you will play a vital role in assisting both wholesale and retail customers to fulfill their needs, providing expert answers to inquiries regarding our diverse range of products, and recommending the best solutions. Your efforts will help maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction, while also contributing to our store's sales goals.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding customer service by assisting customers in person and over the phone, identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products.
- Establishing and nurturing trust-based relationships with customers.
- Ensuring accurate processing of sales transactions in line with company policies.
- Striving to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales objectives.
- Maintaining thorough work order files and product formulas.
- Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse based on customer orders.
- Tinting and mixing products to meet customer specifications.
- Stocking shelves and setting up attractive product displays.
- Maintaining cleanliness of store equipment and receiving inventory shipments.
- Assisting with deliveries when needed.
- Keeping assigned areas well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Staying informed about available products and discussing options with customers.
- Complying with inventory control procedures and providing suggestions to improve sales.
To be successful in this position, you should meet the following qualifications:
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the country without sponsorship.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
- A valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs on occasion, with or without accommodation.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred qualifications include:
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a customer service, retail, or delivery role.
- Experience selling paint or related products.
- Familiarity with tinting and mixing equipment.
