Job Title: Space Talent Management Analyst SME -5871 Job Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80919 Job Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a skilled and driven professional to fill the role of Space Talent Management Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME). This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to advancing space capabilities in support of national defense. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in testing, analysis, or experimentation of space or military systems-ideally with direct involvement in space operations or test control room environments. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance to stakeholders within the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) Personnel (S1), supporting efforts to identify, attract, and hire top talent for critical space-related roles. This role requires a deep understanding of the space domain, strategic talent acquisition practices, and specialized skills and market dynamics unique to the space industry. Skills / Experience Required Space Talent Management SME Analyst Skills and Experience: Active Top Secret/SCI 15+ years of practical expertise and relevant Department of Defense (DoD) experience with space systems Proven ability to attract and identify top talent-NOTE: this is not a recruiter role Experience serving on hiring panels, with preference for those who have acted as the hiring manager Advised hiring managers on candidate sourcing and recruitment strategies across space-related disciplines, including engineering, science, operations, and mission support Deep expertise in space systems testing, analysis, and experimentation, including hands-on experience in space operations and test control room environments at multiple organizational levels Consulted with clients to define technical and operational requirements, oversee analytical studies, and provide actionable recommendations based on findings Strong organizational and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to senior leadership Skilled in producing executive-level reports and presentations that distill complex data into clear, actionable insights Built and maintained strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of leadership Supervised civilian personnel, to include using of the Acquisition Demonstration (AcqDemo) program Led the development and execution of program requirements from initiation through completion for complex and highly technical initiatives Provided strategic guidance, technical expertise, and subject matter insight to program and project teams Recognized for exceptional leadership and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse, cross-functional teams Education / Certifications Space Talent Management SME Analyst Education and Certifications: Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), or Master of Engineering (ME) degree in a related field Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen.
