Job Title : Space Force MUOS Software DSP Engineer Location: Scottsdale, AZ - hybrid/flex schedule Wage Range: 60-69 Job Number: 25-02886 Job Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Space Force MUOS Software DSP Engineer to work a hybrid/flex schedule from their Scottsdale, AZ facility. As a Space Force MUOS DSP Engineer in the Space, Cyber & Intelligence Systems business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development and test of specialized solutions that are used by our warfighters worldwide on patrol in hostile environments, whether urban, canyon, mountains, or jungles - or even the Arctic Circle. The system provides a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system. Not only do we maintain the current live system, but you will help add new capabilities, enhancements and replaces end of life components. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Knowledge of DSP and communications theory Signals and Systems, FFTs, FIR filters, convolution, correlation, etc. Communications or modem design and development C/C and MATLAB, NumPy, Python, Gnu Radio or X-MIDAS High performance computing High speed (100G+) networking, switch setup, selecting switch, NIC and transceiver components IP networking, DPDK and MPI Linux system administration, server set up and tuning for DSP USRP hardware Spectrum analyzer measurements Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
