SPA SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Spa

Reports to: Spa Director

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for efficient operations the Spa according to the procedures and developing and environment where there is a commitment and focus on providing the best service and quality.

Primary Duties:

  1. Demonstrates and reinforces excellent guest/member service at the Spa front desk and ensures efficient, quality service.
  2. Trains/develops and mentors the Spa Concierge team.
  3. Enforces Fisher Island Club policies and procedures as well as complies to Forbes Standards.
  4. Maintains excellent guest/member relationships and can manage guest recovery matters.
  5. Maintains excellent communication within the spa; builds positive, fun working relationship with staff and promotes teamwork.
  6. Supervises all areas of spa operations to ensure excellence in guest service.
  7. Follows and reinforces proper appearance and grooming standards.
  8. Supervises opening and closing of spa.
  9. Follows and reinforces proper sales techniques for sale of retail products.
  10. Organizes front desk team to be productive.
  11. Reports any facility deficiencies and reinforces Spa cleanliness and appearance to ensure a positive guest/member perception of the Spa
  12. Supervises and monitors all computers reports and functions to ensure accurate guest/member records are maintained and required reports are available when needed.
  13. Manages Standing reservations for Spa to make sure they are done accurately.
  14. Supervises all reservations to make sure there are no booking mistakes.
  15. Supports with ordering of needing items for front desk.
  16. Leads inventory counts and stock levels of retail items in spa.


Position Requirements:
  • Well-presented
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent guest service skills.
  • Enjoys working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge
  • Strong focus on guest service and willingness to go the extra mile for the customer.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have open availability to work on mornings, nights , weekends and holidays.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma
  • More than two years of post-high school education related to spa/health and fitness.
  • Knowledge of beauty/barber salon operations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a service/retail/hospitality industry
Supervision:
  • This position supervises the receptionist (s), stylist, salon assistant and nail technician
