Cook Systems is where your journey to success begins.The Electrical Designer is responsible for preparing preliminary electrical design layouts, performing calculations, anddocumenting project design information for assigned projects, requiring a DOD Top Secret/SSBI Security Clearance.Working closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers, the Electrical Designer supports a range of electricaldesign initiatives across projects. This role requires proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of electrical andmechanical components, with occasional travel to job sites for on-site assessments and measurements.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Design Development and Drafting: Independently creates templates, blocks, sheet sets, and comprehensivedesign packages. Designs and prepares plans under the direction of an engineer, ensuring they align with projectspecifications and objectives. ? Project Estimation and Calculations: Estimates quantities and performs fundamental calculations to supportaccurate project planning and design, contributing valuable input on project scope and feasibility.? Research and Information Gathering: Assists in research and data collection required for specific designprojects, ensuring the availability of critical information for the design and engineering teams.? File Management and Documentation: Organizes and maintains detailed records of all designs, plans, andproject progress, facilitating easy access to project information for the Project Manager and other teammembers. ? Proficiency in Advanced CAD and Design Software: Maintains expertise in 3D design and modeling usingsoftware tools such as ESRI GIS, Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, 3ds Max, Infraworks, andPLSCADD. Continuously updates skills to utilize the latest design techniques and tools.? Fostering Team Collaboration: Encourage and facilitate a collaborative work environment.
