Who We Are:
The Birth Place is a 18-room labor, delivery, and post-partum department that cares for 1,200-1,300 babies and their families annually throughout their stay at the Medical Center. The Birth Place is staffed 24/7 by Obstetricians and Certified Midwives. Southern New Hampshire Medical Center's labor & delivery unit is designed with family in mind. Our teams work with patients to ensure the experience throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and post-partum are as easy and comfortable as possible, and that parents & babies have the support and resources necessary to meet their specific healthcare needs and birthing plan goals.
About the Job:
As a member of the Patient Care Services team, The Birth Place (BP) Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to mothers and babies during ante-, intra- and post-partum periods and includes in-unit Cesarean and other gynecological procedures.
What You'll Do:
- Assess and implement priority-based nursing care and establishes goals to meet the patient's needs
- Integrate patient values, best practice, and evidence into patient care
- Engage patients and/or families in the care delivery
- Function competently within own scope of practice
- Utilize a communication style/practice to meet the needs of the team and/or the situation
Who You Are:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with AND
- Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse
- At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery, Recovery/Post-partum, Maternal required
