Job Description: POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Director of Community Engagement and Legacy Trust, the Manager, Community Partnerships is responsible for creating a welcoming culture of excellence while contributing to Southern New Hampshire Health's (SNHH) commitment to providing information, education, and access to exceptional health and medical care services. Working closely with the Director of Community Engagement and Legacy Trust, the manager will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating the impact of the Legacy Trust's donor outreach and stewardship, community outreach and volunteer programs and managing alignment between Legacy Trust activities and SNHH's priorities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage volunteer initiatives and operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching and counseling volunteers; monitor and evaluate volunteer productivity, quality, and customer service, resolving problems and implementing changes as needed.
- Develop and update volunteer service descriptions in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures and effective utilization of volunteer resources.
- Support community engagement through networking and outreach toward employment and volunteering within Southern New Hampshire Health (SNHH).
- Prepare and administer Auxiliary and Gift Shop budgets within established budgetary guidelines.
- Coordinate purchase and replacement of department equipment and materials.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and accreditation standards relevant to teen and adult volunteer program administration and liability.
- Interview, select, orient, train, direct, evaluate, schedule, and assign work for department staff.
- Manage relationship between hospital administration and the Auxiliary, promoting membership, attending, and staffing board meetings and assisting with the planning of special events.
- Manage all aspects of the Gift Shop including, but not limited to, volunteer staffing, scheduling, purchasing, sales statistics, and customer satisfaction, with a focus on quality improvement.
- Manage software tracking and tools that will promote communication; provide recordkeeping and identify recognition opportunities.
- Provide meaningful data management and reporting; disseminate relevant data and information about volunteer resources activities and productivity of Gift Shop.
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop, coordinate, and maintain a comprehensive calendar of events and develop recommendations for new activities and events.
- Represent department at appropriate community and campus-based meetings and events, utilizing communications skills and sound judgment to advance priorities.
- Manage requests from community partners for sponsorship, educational programs, and events; ensure appropriate follow-up as necessary.
- Process invoices, check requests and purchase orders; maintain budget tracking and additional administrative support as needed for Community Partnerships, Volunteers and Legacy Trust.
- Source promotional items and giveaways for internal and external events.
- Coordinate logistics for Legacy Trust, Community Partnerships, Volunteers and Auxiliary special events including, but not limited to, ordering, reserving vendors, and registrations.
- Provide all support for the Legacy Trust and philanthropy efforts, including donor letters and donor database maintenance.
- Provide staff support to Director at Legacy Trust meetings and with other key stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external fundraising events, including Trustee-hosted events, with support from Communications Coordinator.
- Support the director's efforts to identify, cultivate and manage relationships with individuals, businesses and organizations that are prospective donors and/or provide key sponsorships and support for philanthropic efforts.
- Manage comprehensive database that acknowledges all donor contributions and opportunities for future/increased participation.
- Work collaboratively with Office of Strategic Communications to assure consistency in messaging across all materials developed.
- Assist the director in identifying targets for grant applications and help to gather information to submit applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Work may be performed off site as determined and pre-approved by manager/supervisor.
- Build and manage employee, volunteer, and donor relationships necessary to achieve goals.
- Manage budgets and database systems to track Legacy Trust and Volunteers outreach.
- Assign volunteers to work across multiple departments.
- Support department leadership by managing event planning, outreach, and education activities.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills consistent with organization's culture and mission.
- Ability to work on occasional nights and/or weekends.
- Ability to travel to off site community events as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation Bachelor's Degree required.
Licensure/certificationValid and current driver's license must be maintained throughout duration of employment in position.
Experience A minimum of five-seven (5-7) years of experience in public health, community relations and/or fundraising, in which communication with multiple stakeholders and relationship management required.
Demonstrated experience as a leader in service to the community preferred.
Knowledge Appreciation for behavioral health intervention required.
Familiarity with concept of public health/population health required.
Familiarity with greater Nashua's business and community leaders preferred.
Skills Microsoft Office Suite required.
Database/analytics structure Outcome measurement and reporting required.
AbilitiesOrganized and collaborative, willing to work independently and as a member of a team with shared goals and objectives required.
Experience preparing stakeholder reports to highlight goal attainment preferred.
Work Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM
