Position Snapshot
This role involves performing a range of diagnostic procedures, including transthoracic echocardiograms, vascular ultrasound exams, EKGs, and application of cardiac monitoring devices, for patients across the lifespan.

Primary Responsibilities
Conduct high-quality ultrasound and cardiac monitoring exams following established medical protocols.
Identify urgent findings and promptly notify the appropriate medical provider for follow-up.
Assess clinical appropriateness of test orders, seeking clarification or adjustment from providers when necessary.
Deliver imaging results and data in a complete and organized format, including physical image copies as needed.
Adhere to internal standards related to quality assurance, safety, infection control, and documentation.
Participate in mentoring new team members or students during clinical orientation.
Contribute to quality improvement efforts, including data tracking and compliance with external accreditation and safety standards.
Support accurate recordkeeping by reconciling orders and completed exams through daily quality checks.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited two-year program (Associate degree or technical certificate) in a related healthcare field.
Relevant hands-on experience ranging from six months to one year, or a comparable blend of education and training.
Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or similar certification, required upon hire or within the first year for new graduates.

Preferred Skills
Experience in vascular imaging is strongly recommended.
Ability to remain detail-focused and responsive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, patients, and providers.
