System Float Pool is part of Intermountain Health a nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Caregivers who join our Float Pool enjoy assignments at locations throughout the Denver area. Our hospitals in the Denver area include:
- Good Samaritan Medical Center - Lafayette
- Lutheran Medical Center - Wheat Ridge
- Platte Valley Medical Center - Brighton
- Saint Joseph Hospital - Denver
Scope:- Produce high quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam.
- Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation.
- Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
- Obtain and evaluate pertinent patient history and physical findings that may affect the sonographic examination.
- Explain procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
- Monitor during all phases of procedure with special care taken to insure patient emotional and physical well-being.
- Communicate patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and to referring physician offices as required.
Qualifications:- ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry. The ARDMS must include successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and, vascular).
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), highly preferred
- American Heart Association - Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers, required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related sonography experience, highly preferred

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
