Job Description ECS is seeking a Junior Solutions Architect to work in our Washington, DC office . Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award . ECS is seeking a Junior Solutions Architect to support the Department of Defense (DoD) National Background Investigation Services (NBIS). This role contributes to the design and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with mission objectives. Perfect for an emerging professional eager to grow in solution engineering and enterprise architecture within a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing system requirements, solution engineering, and system design documentation. Support analysis of IT environments, tracking requirements using roadmaps and collaboration tools. Contribute to solution engineering, analysis of alternatives, and system design, including basic database structures. Identify discrepancies in system designs and enterprise architecture, proposing remediation ideas. Communicate with stakeholders to support software development lifecycle (SDLC) documentation efforts. Collaborate with senior architects to learn and apply best practices. Salary Range: $107,000 - $117,000 Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT or solutions architecture. Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts and cloud platforms. Strong analytical and communication skills. Clearance: Must have an active or interim Secret security clearance. Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required, per DoD regulations. Desired Skills Experience with DoD IT projects or NBIS. Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or CompTIA Security+. Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps methodologies.
