Job Title: Solution Architect - eCommerce/Commerce Platforms (VTEX, ContentStack, Notso)

Job Location: Naperville, IL or Remote

We are seeking a high-performing Solutions Architect with extensive experience in large-scale eCommerce and Web Content Management implementations. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, thought leadership, and a passion for technology.

Essential Technical Skills:

1. Extensive experience with commerce platforms and web content management systems, including ContentStack, VTEX, and Notso.
2. Proficiency in React, Microservices, API First, and Cloud Native Headless Architecture for designing, developing, and deploying applications.
3. Experience with integration middleware such as MuleSoft and Jitterbit.
4. Ability to conduct performance evaluations, identify bottlenecks, and resolve them using analysis tools (e.g., CAST Tools or similar).
5. Proficiency in setting up and using performance monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Sumo ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus (at least two).
6. Strong focus on quality throughout the entire process, working closely with the Quality Assurance team.
7. Knowledge of improving security, scalability, reliability, and performance in large-scale commerce implementations, sites, and portals.
8. Experience with microservices architecture and designing, integrating, and managing complex solutions.
9. Familiarity with API-first Headless architecture implementation in eCommerce or web content space.
10. Prior experience with web content management tools and eCommerce SaaS platforms such as ContentStack and VTEX.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in software development, including at least 5 years in architecting solutions for customer-facing commerce applications.
3. Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, and complex integration landscapes.
4. Familiarity with Azure or equivalent cloud platforms, including auto-scaling and global deployments of application architecture.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking regarding business, product, and technical challenges.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning technologies and their applications.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and implementation of architectural strategies to foster innovation in the eCommerce and web content domains.
2. Collaborate with Product Owners and core platform teams to drive product vision, manage scope, and set expectations.
3. Design digital consumer experiences using enterprise technologies that define web content and eCommerce strategies.
4. Assist in production triage to address performance or availability issues.
5. Develop and implement observability frameworks to monitor system performance.
6. Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance bottlenecks.
7. Conduct system performance and functional analysis of new advanced architectures compared to existing paradigms.
8. Work with internal engineering teams to optimize and characterize new components, functions, and architectures.
9. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technical leads and development teams.
