Job Description P3+Uplift is partnering with a national leader in financial and investment management to find a Solutions Architect for a full-time role. This position is hybrid, with 3-4 days in-office days per week in Des Moines, IA, and offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, annual bonus, and up to 30 days of PTO plus 11 paid holidays. The salary midpoint is $165,000/year.
We're seeking an experienced Engineer or Principal Developer who has led the design and implementation of applications that integrate with investment or trading platforms. This role reports directly to the VP of Software Engineering and plays a strategic role in shaping the architecture of enterprise-level financial systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide architectural oversight for existing applications and future enhancements.
- Establish and refine architectural standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with technology leadership on strategic planning, roadmaps, and process improvements.
- Align external vendor solutions with internal goals and technology direction.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and advocate for innovations that align with business objectives.
- Mentor teams on investment, trading, and development concepts within trading platform environments.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in Microsoft .NET.
- Proven experience designing and building APIs within financial, investment, or trading systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across a large IT organization.
