OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As a Data Architect specializing in Databricks, you will lead the strategic design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable Databricks solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring data quality, governance, and security, thereby driving the company's data architecture forward to support business objectives effectively.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Databricks solutions.
- Architect scalable and efficient data pipelines using Databricks and other big data technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize and manage Databricks clusters and resources.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all Databricks implementations.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in Databricks best practices and advanced techniques.
- Stay updated with the latest Databricks features and industry trends to continuously improve our data architecture.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on Databricks.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions using Databricks.
- Deep understanding of big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (OPTIONAL)
- Databricks certification(s).
- Experience with machine learning and AI integration in Databricks.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $99,000 to year
Pay Range Maximum: $203,500 to year

A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
