A great opportunity exists within the Verizon Business Technology Solutions organization. In this role, you will be an integral part of a talented team collaborating with our internal clients on their Digital Transformation journey. We are an in-house consulting group focused on business process enablement, responsible for identifying and creating process automation improvements that will enhance our efficiency and effectiveness. Applying analytical rigor, creativity, and structured problem-solving, you will engage with leaders across Global Solutions to address their business challenges and streamline their E2E processes.

What you'll be doing

You will seek to build consultative technical relationships with partner organizations. Your primary function will be to provide Technical Project Management support using Agile methodologies to manage the development and delivery of automation and process improvement initiatives across the organization. The Solution Architect will also employ Business Analysis techniques to understand the business objectives and technical requirements and apply them to process automation projects. You will be an integral part of a PM team dedicated to transforming and digitizing our internal pre-sales processes utilizing ServiceNow for process automation and improvement.

The responsibilities will include:
  • Applying Agile, Design Thinking, and team collaboration techniques to deliver projects quickly and effectively.
  • Managing project and portfolio risks and inter portfolio dependencies.
  • Triaging service request demands and qualify them for project management support.
  • Continuously improving guidance to Product/Platform owners; optimization recommendations, feedback loops etc.
  • Developing individual skill sets and expanding product knowledge to maximize value and delivering quality services to our clients and business partners.
  • Providing Project Management structure and support for business initiatives
  • Working with peer team members, developers, architects and business stakeholders to drive project success.
What we're looking for You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Experience as a technical Solution Architect in an IT infrastructure environment or equivalent experience in a Client-facing or IT staff role (including working as a member of a professional services or IT engineering team).
  • Two or more years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform.
  • Understanding and experience with the broader ServiceNow ecosystem, including hands-on experience with the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) platform.
  • Experience effectively communicating and discussing business and technical topics with business owners.
  • Competent in generating solution documentation for internal stakeholders and clients through diagrams, slides, documents, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with Technical Project Management practices and processes.
  • Experience with broad technology concepts, including GenAI, software-defined networking, programming languages, APIs and collaboration tools.
  • Experience in and understanding of data and information security - especially as it relates to issues within businesses.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies,
  • Knowledge and experience in three areas: IT Service Management, IT infrastructure and systems security, cloud or network systems management, and business continuity.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering.
  • Experience running multiple projects or deals under tight timelines.
  • Security, architecture, and industry certifications include AWS Solution Architect, Business Analysis Certifications (IIBA ECBA, CCBA, CBAP), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, PMI PMP, PMI ACP, SAFe, OEM certifications, ITIL Foundations
  • Experience implementing or designing two or more process areas: ITIL Operations Framework, Agile, Project and Portfolio Management, or Digital Transformation strategies.
  • Experience evaluating prospective IT infrastructure and delivering the appropriate evaluation, ROI, savings, proposed operational evolution, and associated process management.

Where you'll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
