JOB TITLE: Solution Technical Consultant - Utilities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No

JOB LOCATION: Remote (US Based)

TRAVEL: Up to 50%

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

A Utility focused Solution Consultant will work closely with client stakeholders, design solutions with industry best practices in mind and work with technical team members to implement them. Preferred candidates will have work experience in the utility industry and Oracle Utilities solutions including Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Customer to Meter (C2M) and Meter Data Management (MDM).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Provide our utility clients with the best industry practices and subject matter expertise for Oracle Utilities solutions.
  • Report project/workstream statuses/risks to Project Managers.
  • Design solutions, write technical specifications, test, and implement features for Oracle Utilities solutions.
  • Serve as the product technical and configuration subject matter expert for Oracle Utilities solutions on projects, suggesting and researching solutions.
  • Develop enhancements utilizing the OUAF (Oracle Utilities Application Framework) toolkit such as batch jobs, web services, plug-in scripts, and other functionalities available in the framework.
  • Work closely and coordinate with the offshore and/or technical members of the project team to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
  • Triage, debug, and resolve defects.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to technical clients and project team members.
  • Develop and improve projects and internal documentation and processes.
  • Continue to learn and improve your knowledge of the Oracle Utilities solutions as new versions are released.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
  • 5+ years overall experience in a relevant professional IT environment and software implementations/projects.
  • Knowledgeable in SQL, XML, scripting languages, Java and/or Groovy.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to continue education on structured methodologies such as FADE, SDLC, Agile, and other best practices.
  • Extensive experience in full stack development, architecture, and design.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
  • Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology/ Computer Science.
  • Worked in the utility industry with experience with CIS / Billing and MDM systems.
  • Experience in OUAF framework
  • Experience in Oracle C2M
  • Hands on experience developing in SQL, XML, 4GL, scripting languages, Java and/or Groovy
  • Oracle Utilities Certifications
