We are looking for a Solutions Architect responsible for designing the overall architecture of websites, ensuring that they are scalable, secure, and aligned with both technical and business needs. The scope of this program includes software analysis, design, enhancement, and development support for website support services (WSS). This will consist of installing, configuring, and implementing changes and modifications to the Department of State's CA/CST's internal and external-facing information websites and web applications and other supporting software for break/fix maintenance and enhancement required to support the production environment. Contingent upon Award Responsibilities: Lead solution architecture for all internal and external-facing websites/web applications under the Website Support Services (WSS) task order.
Design secure, scalable, and highly available web environments using cloud-native services.
Developed and documented technical solution designs, diagrams, integration strategies, and interface specifications.
Collaborate with development teams, UX/UI leads, security teams, and stakeholders to guide solution design and implementation.
Align all architectural outputs with CA/CST's SDLC, SAFe Agile methodology, and IT governance models.
Ensure solutions meet Section 508 accessibility, FedRAMP, NIST SP800-53, and CA security policies.
Review and validate architecture compliance with government standards.
Support systems modernization including CI/CD implementation, microservices, containerization, and mobile optimization.
Provide technical leadership during project initiation, sprint planning, and deployment phases Required Experience: Experience working with federal government clients and websites.
8+ plus relevant industry experience.
Proven success architecting websites/applications within federal environments or comparable highly regulated industries.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), web hosting, API architecture, and content delivery optimization.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), Infrastructure-as-Code, and automated testing tools.
Understanding of DevSecOps, system hardening, and secure coding practices.
Experience with 508 Compliance, user-centric design, and governance of public-facing websites.
Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, including presenting technical material to executive audiences.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Active Secret Clearance or higher.
Desired Experience: Demonstrated experience with the SDLC process and SAFe Agile principles/methodologies and expertise in modernizing processes to meet the government's needs.
Minimum of two (2) years of Consular Affairs experience.
Technical writing experience.
