Software Tester

Our client is hiring a Software Tester to join their team onsite in Plano, TX Mon-Thurs and WFH on Fridays. This is a bilingual position. Only candidates who are native or bilingual Korean speaking will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct compatibility testing for wearable and accessories devices, ensuring they meet set standards and procedures.
  • Follow logging procedures and utilize internal issue management systems to track and resolve software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate closely with team members within the department to ensure seamless operations and effective problem-solving.
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Conduct testing as per defined standards and procedures, ensuring thorough and accurate results.
  • Analyze testing results and submit detailed reports to the development team for further action.
  • Create test designs, processes, cases, and test-product documentation to support ongoing testing efforts.
  • Register detected bugs/issues and follow up with fix regressions to ensure software quality.
  • Perform software testing across all phases of the design-develop-test-release-maintain software life cycle.
  • Respond to urgent requests with direction and communicate actively with R&D to troubleshoot issues.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical acumen with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a critical thinking approach.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
  • Fluently read, write, and speak English/Korean (required).
Education/Experience:
  • Experience in the QA industry.
  • Preferred: Previous Samsung experience in QA.
  • Preferred: Android or iOS application development experience.
  • Additional Expertise: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (regardless of field).
