Software Test Engineer with Security Clearance

ClearanceJobs is assisting our Colorado Springs client with their search for a Test Engineer for an onsite position at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. This is an exciting opportunity to work support the U.S. Missile Defense System through the development of modeling and simulation applications used in warfighter training and exercises, concept evaluation, developmental engineering, testing and verification, and assessment. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, testing, analyzing, benchmarking, validation and verification, documenting, and integrating simulation products. A minimum of active Secret Security Clearance is required. Responsibilities:
-Test new capabilities, document new features, and analyze simulation performance.
-Work with product and development teams, as well as external users and customers to determine acceptance criteria for new features
-Support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems
-Work with MDST (Missile Defense Space Warning Tool) customers and presenting technical briefings to MDST stakeholders
-Support the agile software team with the development of simulation and software architecture Required
-Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience
-Active SECRET security clearance
-Familiarity with Agile software development practices
-Understanding of software development and Linux platforms
-Experience with C or Java source code Desired:
-Master's Degree in a STEM discipline
-Experience in modeling and simulation
-Strong skills writing and tuning SQL queries
-Experience with OPIR system simulations
-Experience in agile software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
-Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, confluence, and GIT
-Experience with DoD STIG interpretation/remediation
-Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
