Software Test Engineer with Security Clearance

Software Test Engineer Location: 320 Congress Street Boston, MA 02210 Autonodyne is a dynamic Boston-based software company working to provide additive autonomy to unmanned vehicles in land, sea, and air domains. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for integrating and testing ground and airborne software applications across various test environments, including software-in-the-loop (SITL), hardware-in-the-loop (HITL). This role involves developing test automation tools, verifying system performance, and collaborating across teams to ensure software reliability and mission success. You will be embedded as a memeber of the software development team, not as a separate SQA group. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement software test tools to evaluate performance and reliability. Conduct software testing across different test environments Integrate legacy systems to enhance modern capabilities. Collaborate with multiple teams to design, plan, and execute complex test cases. Ensure DevSecOps best practices in software development and testing. Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient software development and testing. Create and analyze test metrics for debugging and monitoring. Identify and resolve issues, coordinate root cause analysis, and define corrective actions. Engage with users and customers to translate operational needs into software features. Support SITL, HITL, and flight test operations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in software testing Experience in test plan development, test execution, defect tracking, and test result analysis. Strong understanding of software testing for high-reliability and uptime systems. Ability to analyze test cases to ensure they meet capability requirements. Proficiency in identifying necessary regression tests for new features. Knowledge of test environments and software testing methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and hold a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Experience with virtual machine environments. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, Jira, and Confluence. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience working with DoD-related software applications.
